Commercial Painting & Protective Coatings in Glenorchy
Following fire damage at Hungry Jack’s Glenorchy, Tasmanian HiTec Painting was engaged as part of the rebuild to complete the internal and external painting, along with a range of speciality and protective coatings.
The job covered everything from protective coatings to structural steel and high-use areas through to external cladding, internal painting and car park line marking. With a busy site and multiple trades working within a relatively small footprint, good planning and coordination were key to keeping the job moving.
Key Deliverables
Our team completed a broad commercial painting and protective coatings package, including:
Key deliverables included:
- Protective coatings to structural steel
- External cladding painting
- Anti-graffiti coatings throughout
- Protective coatings to the internal bin room
- Internal painting
- Car park line marking
Working Within a Busy Rebuild
One of the main challenges was working to tight timeframes on a compact site, with multiple trades needing access at different stages of the rebuild.
External painting also required the use of elevated work platforms (EWPs), adding another layer of planning around access and safety. Our team worked with dedicated spotters and coordinated closely with other trades to manage EWP movements, maintain safe work areas and keep the painting program on track.
The completed Hungry Jack’s Glenorchy project is a good example of the range of work our team can deliver on a commercial site, from everyday internal and external painting through to speciality coatings designed to protect high-use surfaces over the long term.
